Why does Inmemoir ask for microphone access?

Microphone access is required to record voice memos. If access is denied, open iOS Settings, find Inmemoir, and enable Microphone.

Why does speech recognition fail sometimes?

Inmemoir requests on-device Apple Speech recognition by default. If the language, simulator, device state, or system service is unavailable, transcription may fail instead of sending audio to a cloud provider silently.

Where are my memos stored?

Memos are saved on the user's device by default. The first version is designed around local storage rather than a required TONKLEY cloud account.

Does v1.0 include paid features?

No. The first App Store release is free to download and does not include in-app purchases, subscriptions, or paid account tiers.

Does Inmemoir decide actions for me?

No. Inmemoir is a private journal and reasoning review tool. It helps users preserve and question their own thinking, but all real-world decisions remain with the user.

Can I use cloud review?

Optional cloud LLM review is off by default and should only be used after the user enables it, provides any required provider credentials, and confirms before sending content. Inmemoir v1.0 does not include a third-party cloud ASR provider.

How do I remove an API key?

If an optional cloud provider is enabled, API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain for Inmemoir and can be removed from Inmemoir Settings.
