Where is my vault stored?

ContextDeck stores its local vault database in Application Support on the user's Mac. In the Mac App Store build, this is inside the app container.

Can the app import files automatically?

The Mac App Store build reads imports only after the user selects a file or folder through a macOS open panel.

Can AI silently save memories?

No. Extracted memories enter Candidate Inbox first and require user approval before long-term use.

How are sensitive memories handled?

Private and restricted memories are excluded from Context Packs by default.

Does the App Store build include MCP?

No. The MCP Developer Bridge is not included in the Mac App Store v1 build.

How do I export data?

JSONL, Markdown Context Pack, and SQLite backup exports are written only to user-selected save-panel destinations.

App Review notes

No account is required to review ContextDeck. The first-run Welcome & Privacy window explains local storage, user-selected imports, Candidate Inbox approval, and default sensitive-memory filtering.

A reviewer can use Quick Capture to create candidate memories, review them in Candidate Inbox, and generate a copy-ready Context Pack from approved public/internal memories.
